Be sure to let your Buckeye Burner Firepit cool prior to moving or cleaning.
Buckeye Burners are finished with a Powder Coating that is baked on at 400 degrees.
This coating is designed to resist the elements of the outdoors.
NOTE: The coating may burn off when hot coals from the fire make contact with the inside surface
of the Buckeye Burner. This is a normal occurrence.
To Avoid Coating Burn Off On Sides & Top Rail, Do Not Overfill Your Firepit. Always keep the bed of coals while burning no more than 60% to 70% of your Firepit bowl diameter.
To help prevent the coating from burning off the inside and the outside bottom, you may place a coffee filter inside the Firepit (this will allow water to drain). Cover the filter with 2” of a coarse sand out to the sidewalls. This will insulate the bowl from the hot coals
Normal use and time lend to the rustic look of our Firepits. If you enjoy an authentic Pioneer or Old West look, you can just let nature take its course. This will in no way affect the performance or design of your Buckeye Burner Firepit.
If you prefer, you can restore your Buckeye Burner Firepit to a fresh look by touching up or repainting with high temperature paint, available from your local hardware store.
